Booking Policy
Cancellation

Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival.

50% refund offered between 14 days, up to day prior to arrival.

No refund offered for cancellations on day of arrival or thereafter.

Date changes are available up to 14 days prior to arrival but may be subject to availability and seasonal price variation.

Any banking or administrative fees occurred in the cancellation will be deducted from the amount refunded.
Please note that this applies to direct bookings only, bookings made through third party booking sites may be subject to different policy as outlined on that site.
Instalment payments

Flexible instalment options are available upon request when booking directly.

Group pay options also available, splitting cost of stay between guests as agreed at point of booking.

All balance must be paid within 14 days before date of arrival, with the standard cancellation rates applied thereafter, as detailed above.

In the instance of a cancellation, only the sum paid can be refunded, with the standard cancellation rates being applied.
Please note that this applies to direct bookings only, bookings made through third party booking sites may be subject to different instalment options as outlined on that site. This does not constitute a financial product. All agreements will be kept for reference. Failure to pay the balance in full before the agreed date will result in a cancellation of your booking with the standard cancellation rate being applied to your refund amount.
Price promotions
Book direct T&Cs.
10% discount for direct bookings against price for the same stay on third party sites. Where prices for same stay between third party sites differ, 10% discount is applied to the highest listed price. Discount is applied against listed price only, and not against any promotional price, or when member discounts on third party site have been applied. Third party sites include but may not be limited to Booking.com, AirBnB and Abritel.fr. Discount does not apply to additional fees or services.
Spring 2026 T&Cs.
Book directly for spring 2026 (February 1st - May 31st) before the 30th September 2025 for a further 5% off. Direct bookings only. In instance of instalment option payments, discount applied to total price. Discount does not apply to additional fees or services.

For guests driving to Gîte Tŷ Calon Lân, there is room for up to 4 guest cars in the gated courtyard.

We refer international guests to the Trainline website to book train journeys from your airport to our closest train station - Gare Limoux. From Gare Limoux a bus service will take you to within 200m of the Gîte at the bus stop Montazels.

Guests can request an airport or train station transfer service. This is available to guests at Gîte Tŷ Calon Lân only, with limited availability. Please arrange at least 21 days before arrival. A 14 days non refundable cancellation policy applies for this transfer service. Contact directly to arrange this transfer service. See below for full list of service extras and charges.

Pets

Gîte Tŷ Calon Lân is a pet friendly accommodation, the property has a secure boundary with gardens for your pet roam.

We kindly request a 30€ supplement plus a 20€ deposit per pet, refundable aligned to the standard of cleanliness and condition of the gite.

We ask you to be fully responsible for your pet, and its safety. For hygiene and house care reasons, pets are not allowed on furniture, or upstairs.

We suggest guests bring a blanket /bedding for your pet, as well as a pet hair remover and poop bags. Please make sure to scoop the poop and place it in the main bin outside the gate on the main road.
During your stay

Included in the price of your stay is full access to all Gîte Tŷ Calon Lân facilities. Guests are also provided with a full supply of kitchen ware, toiletries, bedding and bath towels. Guests can choose to have pre-booked grocery shopping ready ahead of arrival, this is charged at an additional fee of 30€, plus cost of groceries. See below for full list of service extras.
Free guest Wifi available
Free Wi-Fi internet access is provided to guests of Gîte Tŷ Calon Lân for their convenience. Wi-Fi service may be subject to interruptions or limitations due to factors beyond our control. Guests are responsible for the appropriate and lawful use of the Wi-Fi service. We reserve the right to monitor network traffic for security purposes and to block any activity that violates these terms or poses a security risk to the network.
No Smoking in the house
If you are smoking outside please put ash and cigarette butts in the ashtrays provided.
The two designated areas are the balcony on the first floor overlooking the Avenue du Pont Neuf and outside the external verandah (from the kitchen exit).
Rubbish and Recycling
We are committed to preserving the natural beauty of the area and ask that guests aim to recycle as much as possible. In addition to the general waste bin in the kitchen, there are 2 recycling bins in the verandah; one for glass and the other for paper, cardboard, and plastic.
During your stay, place full rubbish and recycling bins outside the front door, or refer to your check-in book for further information.
No children under the age of 12
Quiet time 23.00 - 07.00.
We kindly ask guests no loud music or parties out of respect for our neighbours.
Please report damages
In the event that anything is damaged, broken or needs repair, please let us know immediately. In many events we will be able to resolve any issues immediately, helping you to make the most of your stay at Gîte Tŷ Calon Lân.
Guests are responsible for their safety and the security of their possessions.
Gîte Tŷ Calon Lân is not responsible for any injuries sustained by guests on the premises, unless caused by our negligence. Guests are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their children, pets and belongings. We have taken reasonable steps to ensure the safety of our premises, we cannot be held liable for accidents or incidents that may occur. Please refer to our safety measures and emergency procedures outlined below.
No unauthorised guests
Maximum of 8 guests. Please make sure that everyone has signed in on arrival.
Seasonal access
For the safety of guests, access to the pool is restricted during the winter season, October - April. Access to the garden may also be limited during this period.

Please dispose of all rubbish before check out by placing the recycling bin and any full rubbish bags outside the front door.

Please ensure that all dishes have been washed or that any remaining dirty dishes are placed in the dishwasher before checkout.

Safety & Security
Swimming pool, and pool area
Be cautious of wet, slippery surfaces around the pool. Do not enter the swimming pool if you are not a confident swimmer. Do not enter the swimming pool if you are intoxicated. The swimming pool is not gated and not supervised, therefore ensuring the safety of guests using the pool and pool area is responsibility of the guests.
A pool alarm is installed and tested, compliant to regional laws. Guests must turn this on prior to any use of the swimming pool.
Balcony areas
Suitable safety designs are in place on the balcony. It is the guest's responsibility to ensure safe use of the balcony.
Fire
Fire fighting equipment including extinguishers in the kitchen are made available to guests in the case of a fire. We take safety very seriously, so please note that misuse of this equipment incurs a minimum 200€ fee.
In the instance of an uncontrollable fire, guests must immediately evacuate the building to the front gate of the house.
BE FIRE SMART. Ensure that you take precautions to avoid fire including fully extinguishing the log fire after use, turning off all gas fires and the BBQ after use, and turning off plugs when not in use. There are C02 alarms fitted throughout the property.
Smoking is restricted to designated smoking areas only, use ashtrays provided to extinguish cigarette butts.
First aid and personal health
A first aid kit is available for guests use free of charge. This can be found in the kitchen. We take safety very seriously, so please note that misuse of this equipment incurs a minimum 50€ fee.
There is a pharmacy is Montazels for minor aches and pains. Centre Hospitalier De Limoux-Quillan is the nearest hospital. Guests should consult their travel insurance providers, and/or medical experts when choosing a medical facility or seeking medical advice.

General areas, faults and damages
We take every precaution to ensure the safety and security of our guests, including a 'safety sweep' before guest arrival.
If you notice something that does not look right, is faulty, has broken, or has been damaged, report it immediately. It is guest responsibility to report any incidences of damage, fault or breakage immediately; this applies throughout the entire property, outside and inside.

Security
For your safety and security, we close the car gates from 8pm-8am; an access fob is available upon arrival, on receipt of a 50€ deposit for access out of this time. Guests are responsible for ensuring the property is locked, and valuables secured appropriately. Loss of the access fob forfeits the 50€ deposit. Lost property keys incur an additional fee of 20€.
Cyber security
Guests are responsible for the security of their own devices and the confidentiality of any personal information accessed or transmitted over the Wi-Fi network. The gite is not responsible for any unauthorised access to or use of a guest's device or any data transmitted over the Wi-Fi network. The gite disclaims any and all liability for any damages or losses, including but not limited to, data loss, system failures, or service interruptions, resulting from the use of the Wi-Fi service.
